Story County Medical Center (Story Medical) has been meeting the health care needs of area residents since 1951. Story Medical is a full-service critical access hospital that offers an extensive array of health care services.

The Medical Center's services also include family healthcare clinics in the Story County communities of Nevada and Maxwell, natural health services at its clinic in Ames, a variety of specialty services offered through its outpatient clinics, community wellness programs, and multiple community benefit programs.
